The post with no point or me whining about BlogHer

So I pondered what to write about today and my mind was a total blank for some reason. Not a single idea…. not one.

Then I went to Twitter for inspiration and there it was… BlogHer.

So as you may or may not know right now one of the biggest and most talked about conferences of the entire year is happening as you read this.

Oh… and I’m not there. Again. Maybe, just maybe one of these days I’ll figure out a way to get there. Instead I’ll be home this weekend minus the husband (another motorcycle trip) with the teen & toddler.

At the park

I pushed him twice and then he decided that he liked the other swing better

I’ve decided to make a list of all the great things I’m going to be doing while everyone else is networking, meeting new people, and learning all sorts of awesome things.

1. Laundry. Yes, it is freakin’ exciting doing laundry.
2. Chasing the toddler around the park on a sunny, 90 degree day.
3. Figuring out what the teen wants to do. I know… I know… this one will never happen.
4. Watching the Cooking Channel. I like to live vicariously through all my favorite stars who get to eat sinful treats while I’m on a diet.
5. Channel surfing. Because eventually there will be something on the Cooking Channel that I don’t like.
6. Stalking Checking out all the great Tweets from everyone at BlogHer.
7. Same as above but on Instagram.
8. I may look at that Pinterest thing… it’s possible that it hasn’t been inundated with everything BlogHer related.
9. Go for a walk. Sounds lame doesn’t it…. try it with a toddler and it’s much more interesting. Want double the fun? Add in a teen!
10. Pout & whine. Why… because I’m home and not at BlogHer.

On the plus side I don’t have to get dressed up, put makeup on, do my hair, or anything like that! I can laze around in my pj’s all day and eventually shower during nap time and then just throw on something halfway decent looking.

What about you? Are you living it up at BlogHer or are you at home like me?

I was just thinking many of these same thoughts, but minus the teen and adding in a newborn!

Let’s make it a goal to get there next year…I REALLY want to go as well!

Yep, I’m home too. School starts for us on Monday so it would be really hard to go now if I could ever figure out how (financially and convincing my husband he could survive without me for several days). So yea I will pout with you

Oh I am so with you! Blogher is like watching all the cool kids get to go to prom and you can’t go cause you’re not cool enough, pretty enough, or smart enough to land a date :( It’s sad. ANd the fact that’s its in NY this year is just icing on the crappy cake. I’ll totally listen to you whine. I don’t know how I’m gonna do it but I wanna get there next year!

I know the feeling all too well. Part of me wants to be on twitter to see all the fun happening, and then the other part wants to avoid it because of how much I’m missing out on :( *sigh*

I’m home too…and probably always will be. This is a tough time of year for a Missouri librarian to head to a blogging conference. My first day back to work was this week. I don’t know how I’d pull off leaving town right away. (Although, if it’s in Chicago, I’m going to find a way!)

I’m not there either…my cousin just had twins and there are 2 toddlers here as well….so while everyone is at BlogHer drinking wine without the kids…I’m drinking wine while little babies are whining!!

PS….I’m stalking everyone at BlogHer too….living the dream my friend, living the dream!

I am home too. Mostly because I literally just started blogging again today. I scrapped my neglected old blog and am starting fresh. I will however, be a Blissdom unless something major happens and life as we know it is no longer. Hang in there. It an be tough to be in the thick of the grind when it seems like everyone else around you is out having fun.

Sadly, I’m at home also! I was pouty on the first day of #BlogHer. I’ve declared that I will be there next year! Looking at all the Tweets and Instagram beaming now, too!
I’ve nominated you for The Versatile Blogger . Not only because you’re an AMAZING Michigander, but for your Tweets, Instagram pics, Facebook Fan page and, of course your blog!
You’re very inspiring and I get to view a little piece of Michigan (keeps the homesickness to a minimum) everyday through your pics!
    Have an AWESOME Sunday!

I am on my way home from BlogHer now! Next year it’s in Chicago, so I’m thinking you might be able to do that!

All of the tweets and pictures really made me wish I was there too. Next year I’m going. I’m determined!

I got a kick out of seeing the exact same IG pics from several different people. Until it got old. :)

Blogher is just…too much for me. Too big, too many people, too many brands. I mean, I love me some swag, but geez.

I had a really, really, REALLY good time at Blissdom this year and am looking forward to going in Dallas next March. It’s more my speed.
